The U.S. is in the middle of a 12th COVID wave. Note that the real-time data quality is very low due to holiday and illness-related delays, with about 1/3 of states having limited or no data. With lagged reporting, local situations may be far worse (or better) than they appear. Data quality should pick up next week.
